Fires were burning across Russia overnight as the latest round of sabotage attacks hit the country.
An oil refinery, public buildings in Moscow and St Petersburg, and water mains were among the targets. The raging blaze spread across multiple buildings and lit up rooftops as emergency crews attempted to put out the fire. A dozen fire trucks and two helicopters were deployed in a bid to contain the flames. Around 400 people were evacuated from the area as the fire ravaged through the buildings. In another video, residents in the Russian city of Novosibirsk were left without water, heating, and electricity as temperatures plumet to -20°C. Though Ukraine has not taken the credit, many of these sabotage attacks are thought to be carried out by Kyiv. The aim is to degrade Russia’s ability to fight, and the will of the Russian population to continue with the war.
