A female combat medic of Ukraine’s 3rd Assault Brigade dodged bullets, artillery and drones to save wounded comrades in Kharkiv. Nicknamed “Diana”, goddess of the hunt, video shows how she and her squad-mates set off on their rescue mission after a successful attack. Bullets hiss and snap overhead as the squad advances to a Russian trench which has just been captured by an assault team, several of whom are hurt. Diana and her comrades set to work bandaging people up, distributing water, resupplying ammo and fighting off Russian counter-attacks. She stops one guy’s leg from bleeding, and patches up another man who has been shout through the shoulder. Ukraine is pushing Russian troops away from Kharkiv after Putin launched a surprise assault on the city in early Spring. Russia’s hope was to split Ukraine’s forces between Kharkiv and the Donbas, making it easier for their troops to advance. But the Kharkiv assault has come at huge cost, led to few gains, and has not significantly weakened the eastern front. #female #woman #battlemedic #russia #Ukrina
