Cops subdued a knife-wielding man with a bean bag round. Bodycam shows a standoff with Shalon Smith inside a Walgreens. LAPD were called to reports of an argument involving a knife. As they arrive Smith is holding the knife and refusing to drop it. Cops try to persuade Smith to give up the weapon. But he complains they will take him to jail. He even claims to be hearing voices at one point. But he quickly gives up after being hit with the bag round. It slams into his torso, prompting him to get on the ground.
