This is the moment a US EA-18G Growler Military fighter jet came crashing down into the San Diego Bay near Shelter Island.
Both pilots were pulled safely from the water and taken to hospital where they are recovering.
Reports say that rough weather could be the cause of the incident but it is not yet clear and the incident is still under investigation.
