A woman who rang the bell after finding out she was cancer free had her joy compounded when her boyfriend dropped down on one knee and popped the question. Aaron McGuckin, surprised his wife-to-be by proposing right after she rang the bell that signified the end of her battle with the disease. Lorraine Clyde, from Corby, had been fighting breast cancer for over a year and went through radiotherapy treatment. The 36-year-old warehouse operative had no idea her boyfriend was going to propose and was left speechless at the surprise. Video shows medics applauding Lorraine as she rings the bell before Aaron goes over to give her a kiss. Much to her surprise, he then gets down on one knee, presents her with a ring and asks her to marry him. She then says yes, before the couple embrace in a long, touching hug. Lorraine, who was wearing a pink top that said ‘I slayed breast cancer’, shed a couple of tears during the emotional moment and was handed some tissues by a nurse at the hospital. Putting the ring on her finger, she said to her future husband: ‘Oh my god, thank you.’ #Cancer-free #LorraineClyde #AaronMcGuckin
