A suspected XL Bully has been killed by armed police after going on a rampage and injuring four people in Battersea. Video shows four men fending off the ‘dangerously out of control’ dog after it got into a frenzy on a street close to Battersea Park Road at around 10pm on Monday.
One man can be seen trying to protect himself from the dog with a bike helmet while another tries to cover it with a blanket in a desperate attempt to subdue the animal. A second video shows police and ambulance crews descending on the scene, before armed officers later shot the dog due to the threat it posed to the public. Four men were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries following the horrific attack. A 22-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman have also been arrested on suspicion of being the owner/person in charge of a dog dangerously out of control and both remain in custody.
