Russian troops were lucky to escape with their lives after their vehicle was hit by a Ukrainian suicide drone to the north of Avdiivka. First-person footage shows the soldiers riding in a Chinese Desertcross vehicle towards the frontlines, when a drone plunges from the sky and blows up the engine block, but leaves the troops unharmed. It comes amid intense fighting between Russia and Ukraine to the West of Avdiivka, after it was captured by Putin’s men last month. Russia is trying to push into Ukrainian rear areas, but the Ukrainians are stopping them with suicide drones, burning up tanks and destroying armoured vehicles with troops riding on top of them. Russia is gaining ground in the area, but it is coming at an incredible cost in both men and materiel for the Kremlin.
