Sailor Cole Brauer has become the first American woman to race solo, nonstop, and unassisted around the world. Brauer finished the Global Solo Challenge after 130 days at sea. She set off from A Coruna in Spain on October 29 before circumnavigating the globe via the three Great Capes and ending back in A Coruna on Wednesday March 6. The 29-year-old, who finished in second place in the race, was both the youngest skipper and the only female sailor in the fleet of 16 boats. #Cole #Brauer #history
