A newly qualified ‘show-off’ driver has been jailed for 10 months after causing a crash on a Carlisle roundabout that left his girlfriend needing surgery.
John Broadway, 20, crashed his Land Rover while speeding to try and keep up with his friends Volkswagen Golf in August 2022, just one year after he got his license.
