Ukrainian marines led a daring rescue mission on the Dnipro River. A boatful of elite troops sailed into battle to save a wounded comrade stranded in the town of Krynky, on the Russian-held side of the river. Drone footage shows how the boat approached the shore under Russian artillery fire, before the marines jumped out to drag their injured comrade aboard, before escaping again. Ukraine’s marines are fighting hard in Krynky, and today raised their flag from a prominent water-tower in the town. More footage shows how a Russian tank attack on their lines was repulsed using a drone and anti-tank missiles, whilst more video shows how a Chinese-supplied 4×4 vehicle was blown up. Ukraine is trying to get a foothold in Krynky to leave open the option of crossing the Dnipro River in force at a later date.
