Israeli troops uncovered and destroyed Hamas tunnels hidden beneath a fairground and in residential neighbourhoods. Video taken by paratroopers showed one tunnel entrance concealed close to an old ferris wheel in the north of Gaza. Another was discovered close to a university campus. And a third was uncovered inside a residential building. The IDF used bulldozers, bombs and airstrikes to destroy them. Eliminating Hamas’s tunnels is one of Israel’s main war aims. Along with killing its leaders and destroying its weapons.
