The King and Queen attended a church service in Sandringham on Sunday morning after he issued a statement thanking people for their support since his cancer diagnosis was announced. Charles and Camilla were greeted by the rector of St Mary Magdalene Church, the Rev Dr Canon Paul Williams. Buckingham Palace confirmed Charles has “a form of cancer” on February 5, and said he is receiving treatment. On Saturday, he released a statement giving “heartfelt thanks” for messages of support he has received and saying it was “heartening” that his diagnosis had promoted wider public understanding of cancer’s impact. The King has temporarily stepped back from public duties but will continue to work on state business. On Thursday the Queen said Charles is” doing extremely well under the circumstances”. #kingcharles #cancer #sandringham
