Norway signed a letter of intent to support the air defence coalition, led by the governments of France and Germany. The Norwegian government plans to increase the supply of NASAMS air defence systems to Ukraine. “Our ongoing support for Ukraine, this is very important, and we will continue to do this, and we are looking into how we can do even more,” Norway’s Defence Minister Bjoern Arild Gram said at a joint event with Germany’s defence minister in Norway’s north.
Boris Pistorius is on a tour of Scandinavia which has included a visit to Norway’s northern border with Russia and watching training exercises. “And I am delighted that Norway joined the capability coalition for integrated air and missile defence and without a doubt this is a massive contribution to our joint efforts to support Ukraine in its important defence battles against Russia’s aggression,” Pistorius said. #Norway #Russia #Ukraine #war
