Burnley FC Women faced Wolverhampton Wanderers at the New Bucks Head Stadium in the Northern Premier Division of FA Women’s National League on Sunday afternoon, with the Clarets claiming a 2-1 victory.
Beth Merrick opened the scoring for the opposition during the first half, before Isabella Reidford and Leah Embley charged a comeback in the second half.
Georgia Marshall captained Rebecca Sawiuk’s side and Ginny Lackey also made her Burnley debut in the fixture.
